Cardiff Civic Society’s Vice-Chair David Eggleton was invited to present a paper “Changing How We Move Around A Growing City” at the Transport Futures Conference on the 6 June.
This one-day conference was to showcase the breadth of future transport and mobility research that is being undertaken across multiple departments at Cardiff University. Invited were stakeholders from the key areas of Smart Cities, Shared Mobility and Mobility as a Service to highlight their projects and address the key issues within these areas. The event is to be the start of ongoing conversations and collaborations.
Cardiff Civic Society feels very privileged to have been invited to participate in this network and speak to such an august conference. This is testimony to the impact of our work over the past ten years to raise the issue of urban congestion in the context of the LDP and to highlight the public health consequences.
