Cardiff Council has withdrawn its Local Development Plan following criticisms – including those from Cardiff Civic Society see ldp-for-printing-bw.pdf. It now has to start on the four year process of writing a new LDP.

CCS will be involved throughout the whole consultation up to the point where WAG Inspectors consider plans “sound”. Our first task is to respond to the “Delivery Agreement” which includes the council’s plans for undertaking consultation with the citizens of the city.

CCS was critical of the consultation undertaken for the now withdrawn plan. We want to ensure that this time it is a meaningful process. We’ll be making a carefully considered submission to the council by 23rd July.

We are inviting other Cardiff organisations – through our Cardiff Partnerships activity – to help us in this process. We have arranged a workshop at the Big Sleep on Monday 12 July at 6:30 PM.
