Sunshine for the dawn chorus walk

Today’s walk in Bute Park, led by Professor John Aggleton, was very special.

In just 90 minutes, we spotted no less than 34 species, among them grey heron, cormorant, mute swan, goosanders,  swallow, sand martin, green woodpecker, nuthatch, treecreeper, dipper, blue, coal, great and long tailed tits, goldcrest, greenfinch, blackcap, willow warbler, chiffchaff, song thrush, mistle thrush, blackbird and wren.

A big thank you to John for leading our annual walk, and making the event such a pleasure.
